Join local artist Janine Marson for a relaxed yet refined creative retreat inspired by the timeless beauty of this region, the same iconic landscape that once inspired the Group of Seven. Throughout the weekend, you will be guided to explore your own artistic expression through thoughtful instruction, hands-on painting, and meaningful time spent in nature.
This retreat is designed to feel both restorative and inspiring, offering space to slow down, create, and connect with the landscape in a personal way. You will return home with new techniques, renewed creative energy, and a deeper connection to this remarkable place through your own work.
Weekend Details June 12-14
Friday June 12
- Wine & cheese welcome reception (4:00-5:00 pm), combined with an intimate artist talk by Janine Marson, offering insight into her practice and the inspiration behind the weekend
Saturday June 13
- Scenic pontoon boat tour of Oxtongue Lake (10:00–11:00 am), offering a unique perspective of the landscape
- Guided instructional painting workshop (1:00–3:30 pm) focused on technique, observation, and creative expression
- Evening presentation with Oxtongue Lake for Arts and Culture (6:00–7:00 pm), combined with a wine & cheese reception, celebrating the region’s artistic heritage
Sunday June 14
- Final instructional painting session following check-out (10:30 am–1:00 pm), offering dedicated time to continue your creative process before departure

- Single Occupancy: $700 (King room)
- Double Occupancy: $1,000 (two beds)
